Mark Slowey – The Rat King

Mark was born in North London and trained at the London School of Musical Theatre. 

Theatrical roles include David, Company (Ye Olde Rose & Crown, Walthamstow); Captain Hooke/Mr Darling, Neverland (Merton Abbey Mills); Hubert Davenport, Rentaghost the Musical (National Tour); Nigel/Louis the Chef, Nigel and Nita’s Wedding (New Connaught Rooms); Mr. Sowerberry/Dr.Grimwig, Oliver! (Aberystwyth Arts Centre); Cecil Sessille, Brenda Bly: Teen Detective (Cochrane Theatre); Dude, The Skyline Gang (Skyline Pavilion); Principal Vocalist, Heatwave and Temptation (Openwide International, Corfu); Kentucky Kid, The Crazy Horse Saloon Show (Butlins, Minehead). 

Mark has also performed in numerous pantomimes with roles including Sarah the Cook, Dick Whittington (Camberley Theatre); Dame Dolly Trott, Jack & the Beanstalk (Camberley Theatre); Monique Malmaison, Beauty & the Beast (Corn Exchange, Newbury); Captain Hook Pirates Ahoy! and Britney - Ugly Sister, Cinderella (both for Qdos NW Tour); Rita – Ugly Sister Cinderella (Bognor Regis); Ugly Sister and Mr Meanie (two small scale NE tours); Baron Hardup, Cinderella (Bognor Regis).  Mark will be reprising his dame role at The Camberley Theatre this Christmas (back by popular demand….according to the poster anyway!) as Widow Twankey in Aladdin.  

This will be Mark’s Edinburgh Fringe debut and he is thrilled to be joining the cast of Plague! and Piramania!
