5th April 2010 - Plague! Venues Confirmed

Plague! The Musical will be back this summer, first at Upstairs At The Gatehouse on Thursday 29th July and Saturday 31st July and then at C venues at the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

1st October 2009 - The Plague Is Returning

Plague! The Musical will be returning to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010. Full details will be announced in the New Year but this new shorter and slicker production of Plague will hold some surprises. The production will be performed alongside Bubonic Production's new swashbuckling piratey romp, Piramania!

10th February 2009 - Edinburgh Fringe 2008 Sell-Out Show

9th August 2008 - Plague! is a Pick Of The Fringe

Plague! The Musical has been asked to perform in Mervyn Stutter's Pick Of The Fringe show on Wednesday 13th August 2008. We will be opening the show with It's Bubonic and then briefly discussing the show with Mervyn. Full information on the show can be found here.

31st July 2008 - Plague! Hits Edinburgh

Last night, Plague! The Musical opened in Edinburgh in front of an excellent first night audience. Various photos from the opening night and dress rehearsal can be found on Facebook and will also be posted on this website in the near future. The show is now playing nightly at C venues but snippets from the show will also be performed at various other events at the Fringe including:-

• The C venues opening party in the Urban Garden on Friday 1st August
• The Cavalcade on Sunday 3rd August
• John Lewis department store, Edinburgh on Monday 4th August
• A Night At The Musicals at C venues on Monday 4th August and Monday 18th August
• The High Street upper stage in the afternoon, 4 days a week
• Fringe Sunday on Sunday 10th August

25th July 2008 - Plague Previews A Great Success

Almost 300 people came to see the sell-out Plague! The Musical previews at Questor's theatre in Ealing and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Several reviewers were also present and an article has already appeared in the Watford Observer about the show. The cast and creative team are now moving up to Edinburgh ready for their opening night on Wednesday 31th July.

20th July 2008 - London Preview Sell Out

We're delighted to announce that our London Preview for Plague! The Musical is now sold out. This means that over 250 lucky souls will be catching the plague before we even open in Edinburgh!

5th June 2008 - Fringe Programme Released

The Fringe Programme was today released and features lots of information about your favourite disease related musical on page 176 as well as a quarter page advert on page 222. The programme can be picked up from numerous locations throughout the country and an online programme is available at www.edfringe.com from Monday 9th June

26th May 2008 - All Auditions Complete

We have just completed an exhausting, but very enjoyable and productive, weekend of auditioning and are now in the process of making our final casting decisions. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the people who took the time to apply and especially to those who came to both the first round auditions and today's recalls. It really has been a pleasure and has led to some horrendously difficult decisions for us as producers.

20th May 2008 - London Preview Extended

Due to the exceptional level of interest we have already had in Plague! we are extending the London preview to three nights. Previews will now run at Questor's Studio Theatre in Ealing from Wednesday 23rd July - Friday 25th July.

10th May 2008 - Auditions Announced

We are looking for a cast of 11 actors to join our cast for the London and Edinburgh productions of Plague! The Musical and will be holding auditions over the bank holiday weekend, 24th May - 26th May. If you are interested in joining our cast then take a look at the performers section.

9th May 2008 - Creative Team Updated

We have now updated our cast and creative section to reflect our recent appointments to the Plague! creative team.

4th May 2008 - London Preview Venue and Dates Confirmed

Plague! The Musical will have a two day preview at Questor's Studio Theatre in Ealing on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th July. Tickets for the preview performances will be available soon from the Questor's box office.

1st May 2008 - Plague Advert Design Unveiled

The design for the quarter page advert that will appear in the Fringe Programme has now been unveiled. It features a key scene from Plague! where Clive, at the behest of the Rat King, unearths the bones of Elman Squatcherd and begins the chain of events that lead to the outbreak of the plague. You can view the design in the Sights and Sounds section.

12th February 2008 - Edinburgh Venue and Dates Confirmed

We can confirm that Plague! The Musical will be performed at C venues for the whole duration of the festival. The opening night will be Wednesday 30th July and the closing night will be Monday 25th August. We will hold auditions for the cast of eleven in late Spring and rehearsals will start in London in June. Details will soon follow about how you can register your interest in taking part.

11th November 2007 - Edinburgh Update

We have now finalised the budget and secured funding for the Edinburgh 2008 production of Plague! The Musical and are now in the process of applying for venues. Plague! will be in Edinburgh for the last two weeks of the festival (from Sunday 10th August - Monday 25th August.) We will also have a three night London preview in the prior week and hope to be announcing the venue in the next couple of weeks.

8th October 2007 - New Recordings Available

With some apprehension, we have just uploaded some early recordings of Plague! from back in 2003.  Featuring bad singing and lousy piano playing, listen at your own risk!

7th October 2007 - Edinburgh 2008 Production Synopsis

Today we have uploaded a new synopsis of the abridged production of Plague! The Musical planned for Edinburgh in 2008. The abridged version is almost an hour shorter than the full version with a running time of just 100 minutes, performed in a single act. Some of the cuts to allow for this have been painful but others will almost certainly make their way back into the full version.

23rd June 2007 - New-Look Website

Today we have unveiled a new-look website for Plague! The Musical. The site now contains more information on the musical including new information about the characters and the creators. A Box-Office section has been added that gives information on future productions of Plague! The site still contains access to the story and the music from last year's workshop recordings.
