Lynn Hamiton - Costume Designer / Wardrobe Mistress
 Born
in Scotland, Lynn trained and performed in ballet and jazz with Ballet
West. While there she helped out with the costumes and soon found she
was more interested in costumes than the dancing. During this time she
also participated in many school shows from musicals to talent and
fashion shows. Lynn was selected to dance with Engilsh National Ballet
in their arena tour of Swan Lake while still at school. Lynn also
had the opportunity to do work experience on location on Harry Potter
and the Chamber of Secrets.
Upon leaving school Lynn went to Cardonald College in Glasgow and did an HND in stitched textiles and fashion. While in Glasgow she joined Glasgow University's Cecilian Society and performed and choreographed for them. She also undertook some work experience doing costume at the Ramshorn Theatre. After this she made her move to Rose Bruford College in Kent. There she studied for a BA(Hons) in Costume Production. As part of the course Lynn took on many costuming roles including wardrobe assistant, maker and supervisor. Lynn has done work experience with Amanda Barrow Costume Maker, working on costumes for many west end musicals including Wicked. Over the years Lynn has undertaken many making commissions. |
