Jill has been dancing since the age of ten when she appeared in her first
ballet, The Nutcracker, and was immediately hooked. Since then, she
has performed in many classical ballets with Ballet West including Romeo
and Juliet, Coppelia and Swan Lake and she also created
the part of Tom Thumb in their production of Sleeping Beauty. Most
prestigiously, Jill was one of the children performing in the English
National Ballet's Swan Lake arena tour in 1999.It was while attending the University Of Glasgow that Jill found her musical theatre talents and joined the university's musical theatre society, The Cecilian Society, with whom she performed in many productions including West Side Story, Guys and Dolls and Kiss Me Kate. Having already won a choreography award at Ballet West, she took the opportunity to choreograph How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Once On This Island and Best Little Whorehouse In Texas; the latter being rehearsed and performed in only 48 hours. Currently Jill works for an investment bank in London (how she met David) and enjoys spending her free time going to the theatre and occasionally managing to catch a dance class. Jill also studies Benesh Movement Notation (dance notation) in her spare time. Jill is very excited to be able to create the choreography for the first production of Plague! |
