 Porl
studied drama at the University of Hull, after already having worked for
2 years as the resident Stage Manager of the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe
and completed 2 national tours as SM for the New Links Theatre Company
and a full season on the road with the Australian Pink Floyd. After
finishing at Hull, his performance credits include Oberon in A
Midsummer Night’s Dream; Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors;
various Pantomimes, 5 years of full-time touring with 1-man musical
comedy shows for Frantic Theatre, 3 years scaring people in
horror-attractions such as those at Alton Towers and multiple posts as
Resident Entertainer or Entertainments Manager for various companies
around Europe.
Porl was also the Assistant Director of Premiere Entertainment in Cyprus, and is currently the Creative Director of SweetDreams Interactive Theatrical Events, and as such is responsible for the creation of Ebenezer’s Haunted Tower & the new Warwick’s Ghosts and Ghouls Alive productions, both at Warwick Castle, and several events at the Xscape centres in Milton Keynes, Castleford and Braehead. Whilst Porl has performed in the city of Edinburgh on several occasions, he is very excited to be joining the cast of Plague! The Musical as it marks his first performance in the festival proper. |
