Born in West Yorkshire, Clare first trod the boards at the age of 3, and hasn't stopped since! She trained in singing with Pamela Cotton's Yorkshire OperaShop and dance at Northern Dance Centre, with whom she toured to France, Austria and Majorca as a solo singer and dancer. Whilst still at school Clare was lucky enough to perform in the national tour of the musical Great Expectations; as Anne in the national tour and subsequent video and DVD recording of Famous Five - the Musical: Smuggler's Gold; and as Bet in Cameron Mackintosh's national tour of Oliver!.

After finishing her degree in Ancient History at Durham University, Clare has recently graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama's MA in Acting Musical Theatre, where she performed as the Queen in Twice Upon a Time and as the Overseer/Agitator in Brecht's The Decision.

She is very much looking forward to Plague! The Musical and making a welcome return to the world of singing rodents, having once played Ratty in Wind in the Willows when she was 10!
